Description
Summary:碩士 === 臺北巿立體育學院 === 休閒運動管理學系碩士班 === 100 === This study aimed to explore the impact of Boccia exercise on cerebral palsy patients’ recreational benefits. Ten intervention courses were conducted as the research method (once a week; 3 hours every time). The samples were extracted from the Taoyuan Boccia Club of The Cerebral Palsy Association of R.O.C., a total of 11 members. Seven assessment tools were adopted in this study to explore the Boccia intervention on cerebral palsy patients’ recreational benefits, including: recreational benefit scales, recreational benefit check list, skills record sheet, weekly training observation record sheet, competition performance assessment form, course satisfaction survey, and comprehensive review of the Boccia course to explore the differences of the sports course intervention pre-test and post-test. The conclusions drawn are as follows: 1. The Boccia intervention improved the cerebral palsy patients’ recreational benefits. The scores in both the psychological and social benefits were also increased, especially in the social benefits that had the greatest extent of increase. This result is due to the physically and mentally disabled individuals’ more frequent exposure to static recreational activities and less interactions and contacts with others. At the same time, after participating in Boccia, they had positive perceptions of their mental and sports skills and self-performance, especially the self-performance benefits. Through Boccia, the cerebral palsy patients’ motor ability was enhanced, from which a sense of achievement was obtained. 2. Boccia enhanced the cerebral palsy patients’ motor function. According to the skill records, the pitching distance, pitching accuracy, and pitching direction all showed progress. Boccia can help cerebral palsy patients to gradually train their trunk stability, body and limb control, and hand-eye coordination through active self-control, thereby training the patients’ muscles and improving competition performance. 3. Whether in the course aspect (including the overall course arrangement and growth achieved) or the teaching aspect (including the coach’s professional knowledge, control ability, and instruction method), the parents all showed recognition for the Boccia course and benefits.
