Method: A female elite bowling athlete with neck injured was recruited as a study subject. The neck vertical training program was prescribed, including the 1st two stages with neck vertical loading and 3rd without. A battery of functions was tested before and after each training stage. Data were collected and demonstrated by prescriptive analysis. Results: Neck fitness, including active range of motion and isometric strength, hand grip strength, and eye-hand coordination were all much improved after the 1st two stages but decreased a little after the 3rd stage except right hand grip strength. No obvious change in balance performance was shown after the training program. However, bowling performance was much improved after the 1st stage and maintained afterward. Conclusion: In such a female elite bowling athlete with neck injured and operated, the neck vertical stability training program may not improve her balance performance, but may neck fitness, hand grip strength and eye-hand coordination. Bowling performance seemed to be advanced as a result. Chou, Shin Wei 周適偉 2012 學位論文 ; thesis 60 zh-TW |
