By observing architecture from the essentialism perspective, I believe that de-architecture creates an utterly prime condition without redundant languages or excessive gestures, as in a condition of extracting only the finest elements. Creativity initiates from life through the accumulation of different life experiences and observations. Life experiences are the most intimate interaction among oneself, one’s body and space perception. By seeking the fundamental essence from self to inner-self, self is the most closely-related state with the space. Besides a variety of symbols and characters, the nature owns a character and language of itself. By attempting to seek for the most primal and pure symbolic languages among the nature, these symbols and languages can be elaborated, transformed and evolved to surround the entire creation. The creative context reveals the primordial form of de-architecture by successively dismantling the entire independent space, resulting in a completely independent and individualized space. Each case will reveal the primal context and undergo process of removing architectural components. Therefore, the discussion can take place from the most primal and purest angle. When discussion in architecture involves subject and object, the construction is often the subject while the environment is often the object. From my perspective, the environment belongs to part of the architecture; hence, the environment does not separate from the architecture to be an object or subject. Furthermore, architecture should be in a low profile state situating among the nature and merging with the nature. However, the base cannot be differentiated from the architecture because the architecture perpetually plays the supporting role existing mutually with the nature. The architecture spreads out in the environment causing it almost impossible to distinguish the indoor and outdoor, which both exist in a mutual and peaceful state.
