Summary:碩士 === 臺北市立教育大學 === 兒童發展碩士學位學程 === 100 === The primary purpose of this study was to explore the relationships among infant temperament, motor and affections at four months. The most current research used structured questionnaires to assess infant temperament, however, the foreign scholars believe that people could use structured questionnaires to understand their temperamental differences, as well as observe babies’ specific behavior. In order to reach the purpose, the instruments “Infant Temperament Questionnaire” and “Kagan's, 4-month measures,” the Strange Situation Procedure” were applied in this study. The subjects, 177 babies aged 4 months (83 males and 94 females), were recruited in northern Taiwan to take part in the experiment. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, Pearson product-moment correlation by SPSS statistic software. The main findings of this study are as follows, for temperament, there was no significant difference in four-month-old infants’ temperament dimensions between males and females; for hearing and visual stimulation, there was no significant difference in four-month-old infants’ motor between males and females. Besides, there was a little significant differences between males and females in four-month-old infants’ positive affection and negative affection; for the correlation among infant temperament, motor and affections, there was a certain degree of among infant temperament, motor and affections and could be used as a reference basis. With this preliminary study, the conclusions of this study were to provide concrete suggestions for further research and the findings of relationships among infants’ temperament, motor and affections were offered as references for future study. By understanding these relevant bases earlier, it could be further provided guidance and assistance in early periods.
