The purpose of this research is to discuss the “Sentence Structure Subtest” of “TCLA”, the theory of creating and developing “Sentence Structure Subtest” and analyzing the reliability, validity and norm of “Sentence Structure Subtest” in Taiwan. The researcher has used the self-creating “Sentence Structure Subtest” as the tool and collected varies samples from Northern Locations, Central Locations, Southern Locations and Eastern Locations in Taiwan with 1,031 elementary students from year-one to year-six to do one on one test. After the test, the researcher analyzed the data. The results: (1)Internal consistency reliability: By using Cronbach’s a formula, the result is in the range between .91~.96 which shows higher reliability and standard. (2)Test-retest reliability: By using Pearson formula, the result is between .84~.93 as the higher reliability and standard. (3)Content validity: Using the international and national researches, testing tool and expertise’ advise create the “Sentence Structure Subtest” that it can be closely reflect school-age children’s language ability and performance. (4)Construct validity: The Pearson correlation coefficient among subtest is between .26~.82; in addition, the level of test is low to high. The Pearson correlation coefficient among “Sentence Structure Subtest” and scales is between .41~.99; in addition, the level of test is moderate to high. The school-age students will improve their sentence structure ability and performance as increasing ages by using ANOVA analysis especially mediate and senior elementary students. The t-test also shows the significant difference between normal and special children, significant difference between children in the cities and countryside and no difference between genders. (5)Criterion-related validity: The result of group of year2, year3, year4 and year6, the correlation between “Sentence Structure Subtest” and Criterion-related tset is .54~.71; in addition, the level of test is moderate.
