Abstract
The purpose of this study is to understand the motivations of
participating sport groups, and learning effects in the elementary school
students from grade four to six in Taipei. And also, to analyze the
different situations in motivations of participating as well as learning
effects which are caused by different backgrounds. 1. The different
backgrounds of elementary school students in Taipei and the differences
in their motivations of participating sport groups: In different genders,
they have different "health needs" and "overall motivation". In different
grades, they have different "health needs", "affective needs", "interesting
knowledge" and" overall motivation". Students who spend different time
on sport have different "health needs", "affective needs", "social needs",
"achievement needs", "interesting knowledge" and" overall motivation".
Students who have different supports form their parents have different
"health needs", "affective needs", "interesting knowledge" and" overall
motivation". Students who have teachers in different genders have similar
"health needs", "affective needs", "social needs", "interesting knowledge
"and " overall motivation". 2. The different backgrounds of elementary
school students in Taipei and the differences in their learning effects: In
different genders, they have different" cognitive effects", "effect of skills"
and "overall effects". In different grades, they have similar "cognitive
effects", "affective effect", "effect of skills", and "overall effects".
Students who spend different time on sports have different "cognitive
effects", "affective effect", "effects of skills", and "overall effects".
Students who have different supports form their parents have different
"cognitive effects", "affective effects", "effects of skills", and "overall
effects". Students who have teachers in different genders have similar
"cognitive effects", "affective effect ", "effects of skills", and "overall
effects". 3. The motivation of participating has positive correlation with
learning effects.
