Summary:碩士 === 淡江大學 === 國際事務與戰略研究所碩士班 === 100 === Jie Xuan was a strategist of Ming Dynasty who wrote JieZi Zhanfa and Bing Jing Bai Pian. This study focus on the approach of military strategy to analyze the military strategic thought of Bing Jing Bai Pian. And this study will also analyze the build up and use of the military force of US army and Iraq army in Persian Gulf War. This study will first establish the basic concept of military, than analyze the strategic environment of Ming Dynasty. And discuss the military strategic thought of Jie Xuan. And analyze the build up and use of the military force in Persian Gulf War by strategic thought of Jie Xuan in the end of this study. This study holds that there are five principles of Jie Xuan’s strategic thought: principle of scatter, principle of replacement, principle of procrastinate, quick and pin down, principle of psychological warfare, principle of intelligence suppress.However, those principle still has limits of the space, time, environment and will also been restrict by the strategic goal and ends. So those principles will not always make decisive results of every war.
