Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 資訊與運籌管理研究所 === 100 === Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) has become one of the major Internet applications due to its variety of contents and services. However, hundreds of IPTV channels make users difficult to find their desired channels. Along with this problem, users often suffer from serious delay of the channel zapping time. Thus, reducing the channel zapping time is one of the major concerns of IPTV network deployment. In this thesis, we propose a method of channel interleaved reordering based on users’ interest (CIRI) to solve the problem of zapping time. By combining channel reordering and preload policy, the channel seek time of zapping time can be reduced significantly. Compared with the previous methods, the proposed scheme reduce the channel seek time by 14%~47% when up-down channel selection interfaces are used.
