This study employed questionnaire survey. The subjects were formal vocational high school teachers of 2011. Research instruments were “The Inventory for vocational high school teachers’ role perception and professional performance in Taiwan”. 1,175 questionnaires were distributed and 976 effective questionnaires which accounted for 83.06%. The data was being analyzed by the statistical methods, including descriptive statistics, one sample t-test, independent samples t-test, one-way ANOVA and canonical correlation were adopted and the conclusions were as follows: 1.Vocational high school teacher role perception was statistically significant higher than the upper-intermediate level; teacher professional performance was statistically significant higher than the intermediate level. 2.Statistically significant differences were found among vocational high school role perception with different school locations. 3.Statistically significant differences were found among vocational high school professional performance with different ages, positions, teaching categories, service lengths, and school locations. 4.The higher Vocational high school teacher role perception, the better performance of classroom management and counseling, course design and teaching, and professionalism and attitude will be.
