Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 機電整合研究所 === 100 === This research is about the design of a ticket cutter, which includes a set of intake wheels, a set of cutter wheels, a set of shredding wheels, a motor, a transmission gear train and sensors. The first distinguishing feature of this research is that there are three sets of corresponding shafts having equal angular velocity but different radii. Therefore, the tangential velocities increase gradually from top to bottom to reduce the risk of ticket jam, which is also the merit of the new design. The second distinguishing feature is that the shredding wheels are in cone shape with different radii at both ends of the cone. The shredding wheel can provide different tangential velocities along its longitudinal direction to shred the ticket at its original v-cut along the transverse direction from the end with bigger radius to the other end to reduce the stacking volume of trash pieces. This research collected different patents about ticket cutters, found out design orientation from the classification of patents, defined design conditions for new cutter, and worked out functional mechanism satisfying the design conditions by using dimensional synthesis. 3D CAD software was used to construct the 3D model and to confirm interference-free conditions between parts to ensure the feasibility of new ticket cutter. New patent was filed about the outcomes of this research.
