Firstly, this study focuses on reviewing the related literature in single-function baby-assistant device and multi-function strollers, including patents from Taiwan and other countries, to realize each design’s specified points and characteristics. Then, we applied the questionnaires of Quality Function Deployment (QFD) to know what functions do people expect to integrate in a baby-stroller and what requirements do users pay attention to. The results from QFD are transferred into design requirements. According the results from QFD, therefore, this design study decides to integrate the following four functions with a baby stroller: baby-car-seat, dining-chair, small chair and platform for changing diapers. This novel design applies simple mechanisms to provide the transformation between different functions. This study has used Pro-ENGINEER & Solid works software to design and build up its solid model, and perform the dynamic simulation. Finally, the strength of the novel design has been checked by stress/strain analysis function in Soilidworks software.
