Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 建築與都市設計研究所 === 100 === Faced with the development trend of aging society and demographic changes, the traffic demand of the aged, in addition to walking, a great need to rely on public transportation systems. However, the convenience of the aged in the traffic capacity for action far less than young adults, so how to create a universal transport environment in general, to provide senior citizens with more independent activities, it is that we are very concerned about the topics. Taipei Main Station is formed due to the complexity of the transferring route with the station space get-together, so to create the perfect sign system must consider the needs of the aged, in order to create a convenient transferring environment. This study examined the Taipei Main Station transferring space sign system, found that the universal function of transferring information, guidance and sign were insufficient for the aged needs. Therefore, how to apply the concept of universal design to the planning and design of the sign system in order to improve convenience for the aged in the Taipei Main Station transferring route is the main purpose of this study. In order to investigate the demand of the aged using transferring system in the Taipei Main Station, this study first collected data with a literature review of universal design, the physiological and psychological needs of the aged. Post-occupancy evaluation was then used by following field observations and the survey. Analyzing the existing transferring system issues, and through the understanding of the features of universal sign system, to explore the aged demand after they experienced. Furthermore, by the in-depth interviews with experts and scholars, as well as examples at home and abroad, summed up the universal planning and design principles for the sign system and management strategies. Finally, this study suggests that the overall transferring planning should consider the physical and mental characteristics of the aged, the stations of the scale and environmental thinking, make the best use of building space, environment, color and use with the function to provide information services can be simple and clear, and the establishment of task forces as the coordination unit of sign system to integrate planning, design and specification management, build quality and convenient transferring system.
