Summary:碩士 === 亞洲大學 === 國際企業學系碩士在職專班 === 100 === Along with the global economical integration, mainland China started to promote the reforms and opening up since 1979, and aggressively attract foreign direct investment (FDI) abroad so as to facilitate the national and overall economical developments. According to “2007 World Investment Report” published by United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), it pointed out that mainland China had become the developing country attracting the most FDI whereas in Taiwan, after WWII (1945) the key characteristics for industrialization were to transform from importing to exporting in addition to focusing on being the “production and manufacturing” link within the scheme of globalized product chains. Nonetheless, since 1990, this leapfrogged growth curve in Taiwan gradually slowed down and the profit margins had been constantly compressed while confronting the competitions stemmed from major manufacturers internationally. This research adopts Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd, as the study case and proceeds to analyze how this company transformed itself into a multinational enterprise from a merely domestic one in mainland China; in addition, while facing up to difficulties encountered at global market places, what are the countermeasures and worthy investment strategies as references for domestic enterprises are reviewed so as to provide as a fresh approach in thoughts for the growth and learning aspects in domestic industries.
