Summary: | 碩士 === 亞洲大學 === 社會工作學系碩士班 === 100 === The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship of judicial juvenile and their family and their interaction needs. This study utilized qualitative method to interview four groups of delinquent juvenile and their family members.
The main findings of this study are as following:
1. Interaction between the judicial juvenile and their family
Delinquent juvenile feel they are alienated to their family, but they are affiliated to their peer.
2. The rearing styles of the parents of delinquent juvenile
The rearing styles of the family between parents are often contradicted. Sometimes the communication between parent and children is inappropriate or abusive.
3. The interaction of delinquent juvenile and their family during the period of the reformatory education.
Usually the family plays the role as companion during the period of the reformatory education. After the end of the reformatory education, the family relationship may change to be more accepted or become more strained.
4. Period of protective custody, the relationship between delinquent juvenile and their family members
The expectation of the family towards the delinquent juvenile during the protective custody is the ability to self-correct delinquent behavior and to live independently. The expectation of the delinquent juvenile to their family is that parents could use persuasion as the discipline method and change the abusive communication style.
Finally, the researcher gave recommendations to related units or practitioners. It also provides suggestions for the future research direction.
