The RFID technologies have been widely used in access control, storage management, food traceability management or road transport, and etc. In general, the RFID technologies in these applications can improve their system performance. However, the RFID access control management system still has some limitations due to that only an identify card is used for identification. In the thesis, the RFID and face recognition technology are proposed to build up an access control management subsystem. By adding a second reading of distinctive authenticity through biometric facial recognition, we can take security to new heights in access control management. Integrating the biometric/RFID security subsystem to a back-end management software, we also implement a management system aimed at the applications of the company's access control and human resource management. The system we developed can help a company to control the entry/exit and presence/absence of the employees. And then it can be used to monitor if employee is working extra hours and to review employee's performance and salary.
