Description
Summary:碩士 === 樹德科技大學 === 金融與風險管理系碩士班 === 100 === This study applied the motivation theory, or specifically, the cognitive evaluation theory, to examine motivational factors that determine employees’ job performance. The effects of interpersonal and job dimensions of motivation, including Guanxi orientations and customer orientations, as well as competition orientations, performance orientations, and learning orientations, on job performance are explored by using a purposive sampling approach to collect data from a government-owned bank. Research results based on 396 dyads collrect from both employees and their direct supervisors show that customer orientations, competition orientations, and performance orientations exert positive effects on job performance whereas Guanxi orientations and performance orientations did not produce significant effects. This study extends the cognitive evaluation theory by an integrated consideration of the interpersonal and job dimensions of job motivation. Research results have important implications for supervisors and employees in state-owned banks.
