Method: Thirty 7th grade students were selected as subjects, who are guided to show their positive and negative emotions at different time. We use the PANAS (Positive Affectivity and Negative Affectivity Scale) table to examine the changes of emotions, and followed by the RAVLT (Rey Auditory-Verbal Learning Test)with 3-minute stepping tests to evaluate their short-term memory and physical index, respectively. The statistics were calculated by the SPSS for Windows 18.0, Multiple Linear Regression, and Paired-Samples T Test. The results showed that the significant expression of positive and negative emotions among the 6 guided experiments (p>.05), and revealed an elevation on physical ability by both groups (p>.05). However, the increase of the short-term memory was shown in negative emotion group, as compared with positive one. Conclusion: The result showed that both groups will increase the expression of physical ability, and decrease the short-term memory otherwise in positive emotion experiment. We suggested that the emotional changes will affect the characteristics of physical ability and short-term memory in junior high school adolescents Chow, Tonghsien 周東賢 2012 學位論文 ; thesis 44 zh-TW
