Description
Summary:碩士 === 聖約翰科技大學 === 電子工程系碩士班 === 100 === In this thesis, the low rate wireless personal area network (LR-WPAN) protocol IEEE 802.15.4 is used to develop a wireless locating and paging system. The system can be used in hospitals to show the location of medical professionals. For urgent events, the nursing staff can quietly inform the designate medical professional. In the developed system, the CC2530, which is an IEEE 802.15.4 compatible system chip, is implemented to control all of the system function such as packet transmission/reception, network synchronization, timing control, etc. To avoid packet collision, the wireless network of the system is divided into one main network and several sub-networks. Each network uses an individual channel so that the packets in different networks can be transmitted simultaneously. The system consists of a PAN coordinator, a number of fixed routers, and moving devices. The PAN coordinator collects the information of moving device through routers, and the collected information is send to a computer via an UART-to-USB interface. A control window written by C# is developed to display the newest and previous information of each moving device. The window also provides the function keys to inform the designate medical professional. To confirm the reception, the informed person must press the confirm button on the moving device and this confirmation will be take back to the PAN coordinator and display on the control window.
