Summary:碩士 === 世新大學 === 行政管理學研究所(含博、碩專班) === 100 ===   “Know thyself” (it’s also called vocational/career self-concept in this study) as the mother of Philosophy. As a competency, it has great value in our country, thus this study construction the Relationship between know thyself and job peformance from philosophy, psychology, and Management science’s theory, and consider job decision effectiveness and general self-efficacy as mediator.   Three hundred and seventy civil servants from Civil Service Development Institute participated in the research. The results showed that: (a) know thyself has a positive direct effect on job performance; (b) job decision effectiveness partly mediates the relationship between know thyself and job performance; (c) general self-efficacy partly mediates the relationship between know thyself and job performance; and (d) civil servants' know thyself, job decision effectiveness, general self-efficacy, and job performance show significant differences on some demographic variables.
