Domestic researches have not done enough on the issue of suicidal factors, suicidal experience, or help-seeking behaviors of suicidal attempters. This research utilized semi-structured interviews to obtain six suicidal attempters’ help-seeking behaviors, and unstructured interviews to obtain two participants’ life story from their suicidal experience and help-seeking behaviors. The results show that the need for help-seeking starts from suicidal ideations initiative beginning. The attitudes of help-seeking behaviors had the most significant impact on all help-seeking behaviors. If the need is fulfilled, it can reduce suicidal attempters’ suicidal ideations and behaviors which allow them to regain normal lives. On the other hand, unmet needs will makes suicidal attempters give up seeking help and might repeat suicidal behaviors off and on. This research makes a contribution to the domestic suicidal attempters’ help-seeking behaviors. This research’s findings imply that help-seeking experience has a lot of influence on help-seeking behaviors. If suicidal prevention actions can take the factor into consideration, it should increase suicidal attempters’ inclinations to seek helps. Because of this kind of research involved personal sensitive topics, participants’ security is the most important goal. Domestic professional collaborationists should deeply think if the characteristics and professional trainings can give suicidal attempters appropriate and valid assistance and trust.
