碩士 === 東吳大學 === 音樂學系 === 100 === In the nineteen century of Europe, the works for piano and orchestra are all popular, and Chopin also write six works for piano and orchestra. Except two piano concertos, there are still four works for piano and orchestra by Chopin, they are all written with monomovement, in Chopin’s early life, and for exprssing virtuosity of piano. Chopin write these four works with brilliant style, and add some element like melody or rhythm from Poland folk songs, and all his way make these works being unique and excellent. The thesis is devided into six chapters. Chapter one is talking about the development of piano and brilliant style; chapter two is talking about the life, creation and music style of Chopin; chapter three is talking about the form, melody, chord and rhythm from these four works; chapter four is talking about piano skills, the gracenotes and how using pedal; chapter five is talking about orchestra, discussing the color of different instruments and ensemble, and the how the orchestra play the role of accompany; the six chapther is talking about the interaction and balance between piano and orchestra.
