| Summary: | 碩士 === 東吳大學 === 社會工作學系 === 100 === Legacy Art Work integrated life story and art created was brought from New York by the Shin Kong Life Foundation and has added new elements and energy to the service for elders in Taiwan. I have joined the program since its earliest stage and worked as a practitioner of the program for more than 7 years. This dissertation aims to provide suggestions about improving service and promoting the Legacy Art Work in Taiwan. Through literature review, oral interviews and reviews on my working experiences, this research illustrates the actual situations in the process of providing service and presents impact of the program on elders and other participants. This research intends to popularize the idea of creative aging and to build a workable model.
The result of this research shows that the Legacy Art Program is an attractive team work having positive elements: easy to operate, enjoyable, constructive and successive, richly diverse, profound and interactive, individualized. The program is able to present subjectivity of the elderly, provide natural support and rebuild the participants with respect and care toward human beings. In 2009, I founded the social enterprise New Life Art Company in order to further promote and develop the Legacy Art Work. Regarding the role of a social enterprise, the service of Legacy Art Work provided by the New & Alive Art Company has built up a concrete model for operation, initiated the market potential, shown the value of service and achieved benefits to some degree. The only part to improve has been branding. In the last section of this dissertation, the author proposed her suggestions about the service of Legacy Art Work and development of the social enterprise New & Alive Art Company.
