Description
Summary:碩士 === 東吳大學 === 企業管理學系 === 100 === As the global market trend, the logistics outsourcing has become a much more important role, so that the third-party logistics (3PLs) company shoud find out their own unique ability to survive, and also, grow in the ever-increasing competitive industry; therefore, the innovation has become an indispensable key factor. This study is based on the innovation structural model constructed by Su et al. (2011), found out six concepts which can be regarded as the innovative competency of the third-party logistics industry. The study adopted a new method, called “IPA analysis”, inducing the thorough case study method to compare the innovative competency of the third-party logistics companies, aimed with five 3PLs company that have different innovative characteristics –which are Mainfreight (New Zealand), Aeronet (United States), ARL(India), YCH (Singapore) and Evergreen international (Taiwan). By doing these, we attempt to explore the following research questions: 1. How do the 3PLs industry to innovate? What are their innovation competencies? And also, how’s their relationships? 2. How do the 3PLs companies examine their own innovation competency? And how do they enhance the ability? 3. Is there any differences between those 3PLs providers which are from differ regions? Analytical results can really show the state of the innovative behavior of third-party logistics industry, and summarized in the following results: 1. Different parts of the third-party logistics providers have shown a considerable degree of attention for innovation structural model, in spite of the innovation competency are not the same in different regions. 2. 3PLs companies examine their own innovation competency, understand the their performance of innovation competency in the industry, and they can clearly identify the strengths and weaknesses of innovation competency in the third-party logistics industry. 3. The study found that the innovative competency of third-party logistics providers in different regions are different. This study use innovation structural model six concepts which regarded as the innovative competency of the third-party logistics industry. Thorough IPA analysis method to compare the innovative competency of the third-party logistics companies, and refer to the better innovative competency of the regional 3PLs companies, as the industry benchmark learning. Analytical results can really show the state of the innovative behavior of third-party logistics industry, and provides a basis for future academic research of third-party logistics innovation.
