The antioxidant activity of 80% ethanol extract and its subfractions of Bischofia javanica flower, was evaluated using the DPPH free radical scavenging ability.The total phenolic content of theses extracts was determined as gallic acid equivalent. The total flavonoids content of theses extracts was determined as quercetin equivalent. The ethyl acetate soluble fraction and n-butanol soluble fraction of Bischofia javanica flower possessed the higher DPPH free radical scavenging, (EC50=70.40 μg/mL and 70.46 μg/mL, respectively). The total phenolic content were estimated as 965.30 mg/g gallic acid and 640.03 mg/g gallic acid, respectively. The total flavonoids content were estimated as 514.87 mg/g flavonoids and 318.30 mg/g flavonoids, respectively. The active components were obtained from column chromatography, namedly, gallic acid, isocorilagin, quercetin-3-O-rutinoside, and naringenin.
