Going back to middle 16th century, due to the trade routes of Maritime Silk Road, Brazil and China began the trade. After the independence of Brazil, these two countries signed many trade agreements and later formally established diplomatic relations in 1974 and in 1993 established the strategic partnership. In recent years, China-Brazil relations have developed smoothly with frequent high-level visits and both signed documents on cooperation in multilateral fields. In addition, both countries' cooperation in international affairs was close and maintained good communication and coordination in international organizations and major international issues. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations, bilateral economic and trade relations registered substantial progress. Brazil is China's largest trading partner in Latin America. Recently China became Brazil's largest trading partner, largest export destination and second largest import source country. On the other hand, Brazil became China's 9th largest trading partner. The two countries have excellent results both in terms of trade, economic cooperation and bilateral investment. However, due to imports of Chinese products, the Brazilian manufacturing industry suffered from the impact, and starts anti-dumping investigation. Therefore, the trade relations between China and Brazil were important issues for the Brazilian government. In addition, cultural exchange has rich content. Various forms of exchange of wide range of cultural, educational, academic, civic activities and the media played an important role in order to deepen the friendship between the two countries and mutual understanding. In the scientific and technological cooperation, they had cooperation agreements in the field of aerospace, biotechnology, medicine and health and energy and mineral. This cooperation continued to strengthen and the two countries had achieving the win-win. Therefore, according to the bilateral relations through the centuries, we talk about the development of political, economic, trade and culture between Brazil and China. The thesis will take the eight years presidency of Lula as the main spindle to analyze the multilateral relations between two countries so far; at the same time explore that during the eight years presidency of Lula, the relationship between Brazil and China becoming more closer? This thesis is divided into three chapters, respectively, explore after the middle 16th century, the history, political, economic, trade, and cultural exchanges and scientific and technological cooperation of Brazil and China.
