Summary:碩士 === 中國文化大學 === 韓國語文學系 === 100 === This study investigated the usage of Mimesis in Korean language. This study categorizes the usage of Mimesis in Korean language into four chapters. First chapter is to study the formation and configuration of Korean mimetic word in order to categorize the type or the feature of Korean mimetic words. The aim in the first chapter is to introduce the basic understanding of Korean mimetic words. The correlation between Derivative and Mimesis has been discussed in the second chapter. Derivatives are transformed from mimetic. Mimesis are transformed and combined with different suffix in order to derive various derivative words such as none, verb or adjective. In this chapter, it also clarifies the type of suffix that can be used with mimesis to transform to another syntactical function. Onomatopoeia will be discussed in the third chapter. The role of consonant and vowel are taking a significant part that correlated to mimesis. Consonant and vowel have their own meaning in onomatopoeic usage. They have presented the meaning by the sound. Regarding each sound, it can be understood the differences that effect mimesis and also to contrast with the meaning before and after. Fourth part is to classify mimesis based on its meaning from the vocabulary dictionary. Regarding each vocabulary’s meaning to classify, and also provide the example sentences from Korean novels or dictionaries. To in-depth discussion of mimesis Co-occurrence relation to none, verb or adjective. To classify mimesis is the most important part of the study.
