碩士 === 中國文化大學 === 音樂學系碩士班西洋音樂組 === 100 === The music, painting and literature in 19th century of Europe mutually influenced each other and emerged, by creating an abundant kaleidoscope of art. Claude Debussy, influenced by Impressionism and Symbolism during his life, created music of a unique quality. The piano work “Images” is one of his most satisfying works. This objective of the research is to summarize the backgroung and gives an introduction to the structure of it composition. As for the playing techniques, the researcher is going to study the melody, and special rhythms among each movement thoroughly in order to interpret the vivid spirits in Debussy’s “Images”.
