Printed antenna have diverse design configurations, the most common ones are microstrip patch antennas, printed dipole antennas, printed monopole antennas and their variety (e.g. the inverted-F) Recently, more interests are paid attentions on the design of using folded monopole antenna, This thesis proposes the design of some compact embedded antenna for various applications, including (1) Meander folded monopole antennas for wireless data-card application, (2) Folded monopole antenna for RFID application, and (3) planar inverted-F dipole antenna for experimental studying adaptive nulling shift.
