This thesis has used “myopia” as the keyword to search for patents. This research is part of annual plan, and we used section, subsection, and patent application country as the basis of patent study. We inferred the patent trends from International Patent Classification and found out applications which conform to the innovation needs of human body for obtaining a simple, convenient, and effective auxiliary materials. First of all, we studied the basic structure of eyes and the cause of myopia and consulted International Patent Classification for auxiliary medical materials of myopia from books. Conferred the cause of myopia and looked for theory-matched principles from paper publications. In the end, we discussed the current application of optical medical materials through cross-analysis from searched information.
From above, we explored the complementary effect of Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine on myopia treatment. Demonstrated that Chinese Medicine and physical preventive auxiliary materials should be used firstly to stimulate auto-reaction, and surgery in Western Medicine should be used as the final choice.
