Summary: | 碩士 === 國立虎尾科技大學 === 機械與機電工程研究所 === 100 === A bicycle system is developed to estimate the sporting calorie and personal vigor for a riding course. The system can in real time record the torque of stamping on the bicycle pedal, angle of chain wheel, calorie and heart rate during the bicycle riding. One unit of, which including a gauge-based torque sensor and an angle sensor is installed on the bicycle chain wheel. The average stamping torque and the average angular speed of chain wheel will be obtained separately and through Bluetooth wireless be transmitted to a cellular phone then be indicated and saved. The other unit of, a heart rate monitor is installed on the handlebar of bicycle and it monitors the heart rate of a rider based on the principle of the reflection rate of infrared-ray to a blood capillary on finger. The heart rate also through Bluetooth wireless is transmitted to the cellular phone. Furthermore, on the cellular phone an application for Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5.3 is developed to deal with the received data from those two units. Those data for each riding course are saved as a XML file then can be transmitted to PC. Finally, for each riding course, the information of including the average torque and the average angular speed for each revolution of chain wheel, heart rate and sport intensity will be showed in detail on a PC interface built in Visual Basic. The developed system can provide the reality information for a rider to estimate and manage personal vigor in long-term. Furthermore, the devices developed in this research can also be applied to the bicycle production process to perform prototyping tests.
