Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立虎尾科技大學 === 工業工程與管理研究所在職專班 === 100 === The newly-built construction of hospital requires higher standards in construction cost, structure safety factors, and the quality of electrical and mechanical specifications than normal commercial buildings or residential buildings. The financial structure, credibility and technique of the contractor would affect the whole procedures and quality of the construction directly. Therefore, how to select a contractor has become an important issue in a construction project. In this study, the process of contractor selection for the construction project is developed. First of all, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) technique is used to evaluate contractor selection factors and their weights. Furthermore, the Grey Relational Analysis technique is applied to develop the ranking of the contractors. The actual case of a medical center construction project is taken as an example in this study to demonstrate the proposed selection process. The result of this study shows that there is a significant discrepancy between the best contractor and the others which means the best contractor has outstanding quality and execution capability.
