It, too, has become the polemic and vital issues whether to preserve it or not. The term, “cultural landscape,” is taken and termed by the United Nations in December, 1992, and it draws the attention of cultural heritage in tradition, which is observed in our “Cultural Heritage Conservation Law” in Taiwan. In this sense, it reveals the importance of preserving cultural heritage. Due to the numerous definitions of “cultural landscape” and the insufficient concerns of space and its context, this paper aims to not merely discuss if the context can suit for “cultural landscape,” but also set a good example for future reference, if necessary. It is believed that there is much cultural heritage at Chimei, on Penghu Islands, such as industries, lifestyles, local buildings, local colors, and so on; all of which are the predecessors’ wisdom in natural environment. Followed by the definition of “cultural landscape” and its style, this paper therefore is to examine the local elements at Chimei through the field investigations, literature reviews, interviews, and laws; with doing so, I would attempt to tackle over the study of “cultural landscape” at Chimei. Thence, the purpose of applying “cultural landscape” concept is to promote self-evidence at Chimei, local development, economic benefit, and highlight the significance of “cultural landscape” as an good example of sustainable development at Chimei in the near future. none 陳啟仁 2012 學位論文 ; thesis 105 zh-TW |
