Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄大學 === 都市發展與建築研究所 === 100 === According to the 2010 statistics of the Bureau of Energy, Ministry of Economic Affairs, lighting accounted for 11.3% of total domestic power consumption, whilst office lighting contributed to 27.2% of total power consumption in building sector. Therefore, reducing the lighting energy consumption is able to help enhancing the effectiveness of building energy saving. T8 and T5 fluorescent lamps are the commonly used T-bar ceiling lights in offices. A few of emerging energy-saving lights, such as LED or CCFL, have been developed and used for lighting energy saving. All such newly developed energy efficient light sources can provide the convenience of lamp replacement and a lower cost of developing lighting fixtures, yet they still use the traditional T8 fluorescent tube as the light source, accordingly, the applicability of using entirely different lighting sources by means of traditional lighting fixtures needs to be further investigated. The aim of this research is to propose some practicable suggestions relating to the use of emerging energy-saving light sources to replace traditional fluorescent lamps in an office environment, where the ceiling height is 240cm. Such an evaluation concerns both of the uniformity of illuminance and the lighting energy consumption. Based on the comprehensive analysis and comparison of nine types of lighting fixtures used in this study, the key findings are as follows: 1. If the direction of light tubes within a LED or CCFL lighting fixtures is changed, the cause of resulting in noticeable difference in illuminance distribution is the structure of lighting fixture, not the light source itself. 2. When the distance between the central points of two lights is 240cm, the uniformity of the edge-lit SMD LED light panel with diffuser and the T8 CCFL straight grain lighting tubes is lower than fluorescent lamps and not in accordance with CIE requirements , which are 0.67 and 0.68 respectively. Such a situation can be improved, if the height of the lighting fixture increases, however, the illuminance on the working plane also will be decreased. The uniformity of the remaining five emerging energy-saving light sources is in accordance with CIE requirements, and have no significant difference with fluorescent lighting fixtures. 3. The suggested distance between the central points of the T8 LED light with translucent tube or the T8 CCFL light with transparent tube is 240cm. For the other five emerging energy-saving lights, such a suggested distance is 180cm. Additionally, the direction of the T8 CCFL straight grain lighting tube is set out in parallel with the central line connecting both lighting fixtures. For the rest, the direetion of lighting tube is perpendicular to such a line. 4. The edge-lit SMD LED light panel with diffuser can offer a higher illuminance on the working plane, which is suitable for the working environments required higher light level. The LED backlighting luminaire with diffuser is suitable for a working environment with low lighting demands, i.e. the illuminance of the working plane is less than 300lux. The other lighting fixtures are suitable for general office working environments. 5. In an office environment, there are three types of emerging energy-saving lights which can replace T8 and T5 fluorescent lamps: T8 LED light with translucent tube, T8 CCFL light with transparent tube and T8 LED light with transparent tube. Both of the T8 CCFL straight grain lighting tubes and the CCFL backlighting luminaire with diffuser can only be used to replace the T8 fluorescent lamps.
