This converter does not require any inductive element. By adjusting the switching states of the power devices, an adjustable multi-level output-voltage of the converter can be obtained. In this thesis, a new method to improve the resolution of the output-voltage is proposed. As a result, the output-voltage range can be extended. The structure and operating principle are discussed here. A digital signal processor, TMS320LF2407A, is used as a control center. In addition, a hybrid sliding-mode controller is implemented to achieve fast transient responses and good load disturbance responses. Finally, the comparison between using the proposed controller and using the PI controller is provided.
