In order to enhance the performance of data access in a MANET, data caching techniques are used. The existing researches of MANET caching only consider the request frequency of data items without the consideration of update frequency. This research focuses on both the request frequency and the update frequency of the data items in MANETs. This research classifies data items into four categories according to their request frequencies and update frequencies. Different weights are given to different categories. In cache replacement, a cached data item with the highest weight is the target for replacement. When there is more than one cached data item with the highest weight, the one with the oldest timestamp is replaced. According to the simulating results of the NS2 experiment, the proposed method outperforms the ACOD and MTS in terms of the response time and the energy consumption of data access in MANETs. none 呂永和 2012 學位論文 ; thesis 60 zh-TW |
