The self-aggregation of this complex in solutions and the resulting gels were investigated with variable-temperature 1HNMR and absorption/emission spectroscopy. SEM, TEM and AFM micrograph on xerogel reveals entangled nanofiber with diameter of 3-4 nm. Unique photophysical properties have been investigated with luminescene enhancement at elevated temperature, which is sharp contrast to typical thermotropic supramolecular gels reported in the literature.
