Through the study on the style and template of music score and literature review of the related music score and software, this research developed the simplified music score software by programming. The ultimate goal of this research is to produce a simplified music score with the most economic and high efficiency tool by personal. The musical symbol font is created by FCP 6.2 and referenced by Microsoft VBA applications development tools. The simplified music score software enables users to use Microsoft Word to create and edit the simplified music score format file.The Word document files can be converted to PDF files and print high resolution of simplified music score documents. This research proved that the researchers are able to develop the simplified music score software and achieve the goal of the research. Hopefully, the researchers will develop associated software based on the simplified music score software in the future and improve the quality of the simplified music score publications in Taiwan.
