Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣藝術大學 === 戲劇學系 === 100 === From 2005, the National Student Competition of Creative Puppetry Art provides the students in Hai-Shan Senior High School an opportunity to develop their creative ideas and demonstrate teenager’s thoughts. This research is to difineded the phenomenon of carnivalesque that students in Hai-Shan High School demonstrate in creating and writing texts for the National Student Competition of Creative Puppetry Art. The phenomenon of carnivalesque is an explicit characteristic of the carnival theory. Bakhtin's carnival theory was originated from the medieval carnivals which provided the ways for people to vent and express their emotions and feelings under the rule of the political and religious authority. The spirit and phenomenon were shown in the medical carnivals became the main part of the carnival theory. Similar as the medieval people, students in Hai-Shan Senior High School vent and express their views toward inequality, different social classes, profaness and vulgarness through text creation. These students criticized the reality of the society and challenge the governance authority by utilizing various elements of popular culture, the phenomena that carried the spirit of the medieval carnival culture.
