The research methodologies were combined with questionnaires and deeply interviews to investigate the entertainment section journalists who using Facebook searching for news materials of four main presses, which concluded of China Times, United Daily News, Liberty Times and Apple Daily. There are three research topics as the follow descriptions: (1) How is Facebook usage help journalists develop news materials within agenda setting? (2) What is the relationship of Facebook usage between journalists and news sources? (3) What is the value of Facebook to journalists with the age structure of computer-aided news reports? How to report news correctly without violating the privacy and then verifying the truth of anonymous news topics? The pilot study was based on the questionnaire of ‘How did journalists use Facebook to search news materials?’ to investigate four main presses journalists using Facebook for news works. The result shows that over 70% participants who used Facebook more than one hours per day in a week. And most of them agree that ‘login on Facebook to search news sources’ and ‘friends on Facebook as their direct interview subjects’. There were three journalists of participants invited to attend the deeply interview. The result shows that Facebook has changed the traditional publish manuscripts mode and became the important news resources and the platform of artists self-presentation.
