Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 電信工程學研究所 === 100 === It has been shown that data rate can be enhanced through Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) systems, which add multiple antenna elements at both transmitter and receiver. On the other hand, Long Term Evolution (LTE), which supports MIMO technique, is a wireless communication standard for 4thgeneration mobile communication. Therefore, this thesis proposes a compact MIMO antenna element for LTE-700MHz applications. Matching conditions for multiple-element antenna design are different to single element design. The issue is investigated in this thesis. In addition, channel capacity is a major index for MIMO system performance. This thesis also discusses some criterions for MIMO antenna element design based on channel capacity. Isolation is the challenge in design of MIMO antenna element. This thesis uses a suspended line as the decoupling structure to achieve isolation enhancement. In the literatures, the shape and position of the suspended line are obtained by a number of independent simulations. To improve the efficiency, this thesis uses fractional factorial experiment together with effect plot to find the best shape and position of the suspended line. Finally, a planar PIFA which operates at the so called “ mode” is proposed. The performance of the proposed PIFA is carefully discussed at the last part of this thesis.
