The irreversible process of myopia and progressively-decreasing onset age causes the increasing severity of myopia. Thus, to reduce the prevalence of myopia, we should focus on eye care of school age children. Among the environmental factors, near work is generally regarded as the primary factor in the development and progression of myopia. This study presents a wearable sensing system for long-term reading distance monitoring, correcting and recording. The system applies instant feedback to reduce the time that user spent on near work. Also, it records the detailed data of reading status and provides ophthalmologists a new tool for further investigation on the process of myopia. Hao-Hua (Hao) Chu 朱浩華 2012 學位論文 ; thesis 39 en_US
