Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 資訊工程學研究所 === 100 === In recent years, mobile devices have become more and more popular. Users require a better way to exchange data and work together with their devices. The method for establishing a quick connection between different kinds of devices has become an important issue.
With the ability to connect device together, synchronous gestures can also retrieve the space relationship of those devices. Application developer can decide the virtual space placement by the relative position of devices in the physical world, making the interaction fits user’s mental model.
In the first part of this thesis, 4 stitching synchronous gestures inspired from the “stitching” action in the daily life will be presented. We evaluate these gestures with users to find the pros and cons of each gesture, and find out the best one for representing “stitching” action.
In the second part of this thesis, we introduce several interaction designs based on stitching gesture. A user study will be applied to an application, which is designed from these interactions, to explore the probability of our work.
