Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 政治學研究所 === 100 === The Korea Journal Sino-Soviet Affairs was formerly published by Han Yang University of China Institute from 1975 and Soviet Institute from 1979. And their Journal names were Chinese Studies and Soviet Studies. From 1980 the two institutes and journals were incorporated to Sino-Soviet Institute and Sino-Soviet Affairs. Thus from 1975 to now, the publishing history of the Sino-Soviet Affairs have been almost 40 years. The beginning of Korea’s Chinese Studies was based on America’s China strategy and Korea’s national policies. Thus when the China studies were started in Korea, they had been done under the anticommunism policy. After normalization of relationship with China, China studies in Korea broke away from anticommunism ideology. Analyzing Sino-Soviet Affairs’ Institute, list and author structure from 1974 to 2010, we can know that each of them is different and changing. Especially Sino-Soviet Affairs gradually broke away from depending on America, and at the same time broke away from anticommunism ideology toward China. From the China reform and opening up to the normalization of Korea -China relationship, America have kept the position of supremacy, so Korea academy pays much attention to world situations, and studying the interaction between America and China has remained the importance of Korea China studies. However, along with the changing world situations, the interaction between America and China and the contents of China study also changed accordingly. The China scope of Sino-Soviet Affairs is Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Chinese. From the China scope of Sino-Soviet Affairs, we can know that the scope of China is getting bigger. From that we can deduce that China rising or China threat can potentially be proved by it. Sino-Soviet Affairs was triggered because of America’s detente policy, and in the beginning it learned from and imitated the studies of America. But along with the development of Korea-China relationship and the changes within China itself, it had gradually broken away from the dependency on America, and started to look for Korea’s own China studies. These can be found out from 1992 Sino-Soviet Affairs Studies. Thus Sino-Soviet Affairs is a journal of China studies that has Korean characteristics. Keywords: Sino-Soviet Affairs, the Korea anticommunism policy, the Korea China studies, the America detente policy
