The participants were two students placed in the resource classroom of a Kaohsiung elementary school. The experiment employed a multiple probe design across-subjects research, while the experiment periods included baselines, intervention and maintenance phases. The independent variable in this research was direct instruction, and the dependent variable was the correct ratio in the interval operation evaluation. Forty-minute interval operation teaching was given three times per week, totaling twelve times in four weeks. Quantitative and qualitative data were both analyzed. Visual analysis was performed on the quantitative data, which comprised of graphs, data analysis within the phase and between phases. In addition, C statistic was used as an auxiliary analysis.
