The aim of the study is to discuss the cognitive difference of work stress, cognitive difference of life satisfaction, and the correlation between work stress and life satisfaction in the coast guards from different units of Eastern Coastal Patrol Office. The methodology adopts literature review and questionnaires and the censuses samples were collected among the cadre coast guards in Coast Patrol Corps 8-1, 8-2 and 8-3 of Eastern Coastal Patrol Office of Coastal Patrol Directorate General, Executive Yuan. 270 valid questionnaires sample out of 274 were collected. I. The followings are the main results according to the analysis: There exist a positive correlation and the level of significance between the factors of work stress including individual responsibility, frequent job rotating, work trivia and the factors of life satisfaction including recreational satisfaction and work place relation satisfaction. II. Suggestions: 1. Allot the work assignment properly based on the features of tasks. 2. Unblock the channels for promotion to enhance the incentive to work. 3. Provide with channels to study abroad. 4. Encourage the participation in recreational activities to release work stress. 5. Change the attitude to establish good beliefs. 6.
