Summary:碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 教育學系(所) === 100 === According to the relevant literatures, teachers are key persons to put gender equity education in practice. Whether teachers show enthusiastic action in gender equity education or not, it greatly influences students’ attitude toward the gender equity. Through the dispute about the revision of sexual orientation in curriculum guideline by Ministry of Education, many in-service teachers and people from various walks of life deeply concern about LGBT education. Therefore, this research aims to understand the experiences of putting LGBT education in practice through the interviews with 5 teachers who execute LGBT education in curriculum, and provide school teachers with this practical reference. The research reveals that the purpose of putting LGBT education in practice is to execute justice in education by knowing and respecting LGBT. The motivation of putting LGBT education in practice in the classes is based on sexual bullying on campuses in Taiwan or educators’ sense of responsibilities. LGBT education is embedded in not only curriculum and materials, but also students’ living experiences. Nonetheless, school teachers confront a lot of pressure from parents and people from various walks of life, but they all can negotiate and reply with positive attitude and enthusiasm.
