Four interviewees involved are two principals and two directors of educational affairs division from western and eastern junior high schools. Further analysis of the potential problems is consequently conducted. Based on the data analysis, the conclusions of the study are summarized as follows: 1.On“Open Admission of Upper Secondary Schools and Junior Colleges”: There is difference of coping strategies between urban and rural junior high schools. Daily after-school programs and summer-winter curriculum are still implemented, while sameness and differences exist between western and eastern schools. More importance is placed on career guidance program for junior high school students. There is an uncertainty to see whether “open admission of upper secondary schools and junior colleges” will relieve the senior-high-school-entrance stress of students. The related supplementary measures don’t seem to be complete yet. 2.On“student recruitment of featured schools”: The capacity is still too small. The grading standards need to be more specific. The competition is more apparent for the schools in urban areas. Student recruitment of featured schools” has little influence on current junior high schools. The junior high schools in remote areas need to develop their own features to bring in a fresh atmosphere. Cheng, Yaonan 鄭燿男 2012 學位論文 ; thesis 130 zh-TW
