Firstly, the study reviewed literatures covering creativity development, supporting user’s creativity in human computer interface and website evaluation. The researcher summarized the materials in 6 major principles and 51 guidelines as the analytic standards for the study, and then randomly chose 10 websites from the Ministry of Education e-learning suggesting list to do the content analysis. The results are as follow: 1. The overall conforming rate of the e-learning websites fell between 38% and 74.86%. There are 9 websites with conforming rate higher than 50% and most of them manage to have conforming rate around 60% to 70%. So, all the websites meet the standards of Principles Supporting User’s Creativity in Human Computer Interface. 2. Regarding the principle of supporting exploration, the overall conforming rate fell between 47.78% and 83.33%. Most websites take account of the requirement of this principle, but the management for hyper-links still has room for improvement. 3. Regarding the principle of considering users from various backgrounds, the overall conforming rate fell between 46.4% and 96.6%. Most websites perform well in this aspect, but the dedicated pages for different types of users are somewhat lacking. 4. Regarding the principle of valuing feedback and revision, the overall conforming rate is 0%, which indicates the websites do not match the requirement of this principle. 5. Regarding the principle of providing an easily accessible database for searching and keeping browsing history, the overall conforming rate fell between 0% and 100%, which shows the websites have very diverse performances in this aspect. 6. Regarding the principle of reducing the cognitive load, the overall conforming rate fell between 53.06% and 78.41%. Most websites take the requirement of this principle into consideration. 7. Regarding the principle of visual satisfying web design and function, the overall conforming rate fell between 30.27% and 78.27%. Although most websites meet the requirement of this principle, the introductory phrases on homepages are often neglected by website designers. The process and results of the study may provide suggestions for further studies that apply Principles Supporting User’s Creativity in Human Computer Interface to establish or evaluate e-learning websites. In addition, the study could be the reference basis for e-learning websites improvement and relative studies in the future. Chao, Jenyi 趙貞怡 2011 學位論文 ; thesis 149 zh-TW
