Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 體育學系碩士班 === 100 === Purpose:The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of exercise intervention on physical fitness and physical self-concept among the 4th grade elementary school students. Method:This study adopted a quasi-experimental design to carry on the teaching research of the experiment. A sample of 61 participants was conveniently selected, including 30 participants as the experiment group(16 boys and 14 girls, average age:10±1.1 years old;average high:140.2±2.8 cm; average weight:50.5±3.1 kg) and 31 participants as the control group(16 boys and 15 girls, average age:10±1.1 years old;average high:141.3±2.2 cm;average weight:51.1±2.3kg). The experiment was for eight weeks. Independent samples T test and paired-sample T test via SPSS 12.0 were used in this study, and the statistical test of significant level was defined as α= .05. Results: 1. There were significant effects (except flexibility) after the experimental group received the experiment on physical fitness. 2. There were significant effects (except flexibility) after the experimental group received the experiment on physical self-concept. 3. For the control group without the exercise intervention, there was no significant effect on physical fitness and physical self-concept. Conclusion:There were significant effects on physical fitness (except flexibility) and physical self-concept (except flexibility) after the 4th grade students received the experiment.
