碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 資訊科學系碩士班 === 100 === In this paper, we present a research model to identify the factors for electronic payment systems (EPS), and it delivers the understanding of the electronic check clearing mechanism, Automated Clearing House (ACH). We try to explore the factors of improvement directions of ACH implementation in Taiwan. Today’s competitive banking industry has made EPS clearance operators gage in the innovation of digital-based services. Payment stakeholders need the efficient EPS to complete fund transfer in the era of Internet. EPS operators integrate the cash flow by the reengineering processes of information flow. We introduce the Rational Reasoning model to explore our successful constructs for innovation in EPS. Questionnaire survey is applied in our stages and the demand of payment service customers is described clearly. The improvement of ACH in Taiwan achieves an innovative EPS. Meanwhile, we found that the research issues of EPS are interdisciplinary and wide. The implication is that payment participants can benefit from innovation in EPS because of challenges of globalization, especially cross-border capital flows.
